Nicole Trunfio Defends Elle's Breastfeeding Cover

The latest issueof ELLE Australia feature Supermodel Nicole Trunfio posing while breast feeding her baby Zion and defended the cover as a simple expression of being a mother rather than creating any controversy.

Nicole Trunfio and her baby Zion Rain Clark with boyfriend Gary Clark Jr. are the models for this June’s issue of Elle magazine. The magazine’s cover features Nicole in grubs and posing while breast feeding Zion. The cover has caused a stir as breast feeding in public has been a taboo of moralistic ethics.

The Elle’s editor Justine Cullen justified the Elle magazine Australia’s cover by saying that Nicole had stepped aside because Zion needed a feed. When she started, they both looked so happy that we moved both how they were on set and snapped away. It made for a beautiful and strong picture. That is the reason the magazine featured the picture.

Nicole herself posted the picture on her Instagram and Facebook and said that the picture was a powerful expression of motherhood. There is nothing controversial about it and it should not be made so otherwise.

She said that breast feeding in public should be normalized under #normalizebreastfeeding. She said that it was the worst thing for a woman to be judged for feeding her child in public. Under #weareonlyhuman she expressed that she was pround of the cover and all that it stood for.

There is nothing more powerful and beautiful than motherhood. The last thing I want to do is be controversial, so please take this for what it is, let us #normalizebreastfeeding there is nothing worse than a mother that is judged for feeding her hungry child in public. #weareonlyhuman I’m so proud of this cover and for what it’s stands for. I obviously don’t look like this while I am breastfeeding but this stands for all women out there, whether you breastfeed or not, we gave birth, we are women, we are mothers. Thank you to ELLE for being so bold and making such an encouraging, positive and healthy statement. #womenunite

She joked that she obviously doesn’t look like that when she is breast feeding normally but it was for all the women out there that /4/or not be breast feeding. They are mothers still, they had given birth and they were enjoying being women and being mothers.

Model Nicole Trunfio thanked Elle magazine for being so open minded about it. They had helped make sucha powerful statement and #womenunite encouraged women to stand for the cause as well.
