The high profile case of Oscar Pistorius is coming to an end today. Judge Thokozile Masipa will reveal the sentencing for the manslaughter of Reeva Steenkamp today. The judge has started to read a recap of the arguments. It is not clear how long it will take for Judge Thokozile Masipa, who is celebrating her 63rd birthday today, to deliver the sentencing. Oscar Pistorius has been found guilty of manslaughter. In South Africa the sentences for this crime can reach up to 15 years.

Back in September Oscar Pistorius was found guilty of manslaughter. The verdict raised a big controversy in South Africa as many have expected that he will be found guilty of murdering Reeva Steenkamp. Reeva Steenkamp was killed in Oscar Pistorius residence in Pretoria, South Africa, in 2013. The incident happened on Valentine’s Day. Pistorius claims he was firing what he believed was an intruder and not his girlfriend.
