The car featured throughout the first film including the iconic final race between Brian and Dom.
One of the “The Fast and the Furious” cars, which had been driven by late Paul Walker, is up for auction, according to a report by Times. The car was featured in the first film and was associated with the character of Brian O’Connor.
Fast and Furious franchise is most known for its dazzling high-speed cars. Their Metallic colors, roaring sound from engine and front wheels, the speed and extravagant driving skill – everything looked great on the screen. Those cars contributed greatly in the success of the film, making the racing and chasing scenes exciting and thrilling than ever before. One of the cars, which had been used in the original 2001 film, was Toyota Supra. On 12 May, the bright orange car with black and blue interior will head to the Mecum Auctions for display and is expected to go for anywhere between $150,000 to $200,000.
The car was used throughout the film, including the final race scene when Paul Walker (Brian O’Connor) and Van Diesel (Dominic Toretto) go parallel to each other and barely manage to cross a railroad track as they were about to collide with an oncoming train. The car was built by Eddie Paul who has an extensive experience in making spectacular props and vehicles for the purpose of onscreen appearance.
Stunt cars generally have many versions. A number of Supra versions were also built, for taking close ups and for performing the actual stunts.
The highest bidder will take the car from Mecum Auction event held on /4/12-17 in Indianapolis.
