Mission Street is offering a limited batch of early units to those who pledge at least $549

3D printers are certainly cool and lets be very honest, who wouldn’t want to have one at their disposal? It’s close to making you feel like you have a magic wand. But the problem with these printers is that they are not so children-friendly, largely due to their size and complexity. Mission Street Manufacturing’s Printeer is the project that is the answer to this problem but it is a crowd-funding project so we can only pray that it makes it to its goal.

The Printeer 3D printer would allow kids to make their own plastic masterpieces with only an iPad and a basic ability to draw. There is no complexity involved as there are no scary looking CAD programs or other intermediary tools. With an easily removable build platform and a transparent shell that shows how all the parts work together, this device is friendlier than we can even imagine. The company has an idea for this machine to be used in schools where kids can learn the basics of design and engineering by having fun at the same time.

In case you want to get your hands on one of these, you will have to pay at least $549 and act quickly because there is only a limited batch of early units. If you are willing to pay this price, then you will get your little 3D printer by October.
