MTV celebrity prank show will be revived at BET
Celebrities need to be alert. Punk’d is coming back on TV.
BET made the announcement on Thursday that it is planning to revive MTV hidden camera show Punk’d and it will be one of its seven television shows coming ahead. The reboot is expected to follow the pattern similar to the original show. However, there will be something extra appealing. It will provide more behind the scene looks at how celebrity pranks are created and carried through, according to Hollywood Reporter.
Punk’d, which was originally hosted by Ashton Kutcher, pranked on celebrities from 2003 to 2007, leaving their eyes and mouth wide open and a surprised looked on their face. After a gap of five years, show was again started to air on MTV in March 2012 but it lasted only four months. The brief revival series was hosted by a number of celebrates including Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, director Dax Shepard and Ashton Kutcher himself.
There is no word on who will be the host of the reboot so people are just keep on guessing. Ashton Kutcher who was the creator and one of the producers of the show, can be recalled for the hosting of the revival show but there is also a possibility that someone else can be given a chance this time around.
BET also provided information about other series featuring on the network which includes “Zoe Moon” a sitcom starring Brandy Norwood playing the role of single mom, “Chasing Destiny” a singing competition show featuring Kelly Rowland as she searches for next big girl group.
