Illicit drugs were found in the vehicle occupied by the hip-hop star
Hip-hop star Nelly has been arrested in Tennessee for having drugs in the vehicle.
According to the press release issued by Tennessee police department, state troopers pulled over a private bus on Saturday morning near 275 mile market. The bus which was carrying Nelly and five other passengers was not displaying the sticker of U.S. Department of Transportation and International Fuel Tax Association.
State troopers planned to investigate the subjects. Upon reaching them, they noticed strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Prohibited drugs Methamphetamine, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were found when an inspection of the bus was conducted. Troopers also discovered numerous handguns including a gold-plated .50-caliber Desert Eagle piston, a .45-caliber Taurus piston and .500 Smith & Wesson magnum during the search.
The drugs and weapons were taken into the custody. Nelly along with five other people was transported to the Putnam County jail. The 40 years old rapper was charged with felony possession of drugs others were also charged for the possession of drugs and firearms.
Nelly was reportedly released from jail on $10,000 bond and will appear before the court on June 19.
