Rece Davis is taking over as host of ESPN’s “College GameDay,” with Chris Fowler
Rece Davis has signed a new contract with ESPN that will last until 2023. As he signed this new contract, he was awarded with the hosting of the popular College Gameday show.
The veteran host has signed a new contract with ESPN. This multi-year contract will see him stay with the company till the next 6 years. Now he is going to be taking over the as the new host of College GameDay. Previously the show was hosted by Chris Fowler.

After this tweet, ESPN officially confirmed the news and stated that Rece Davis is taking over as host of ESPN’s “College GameDay” while Chris Fowler will focus on calling the Saturday prime-time games. ESPN also announced on Thursday that Rece Davis singed a multi-year agreement and his contract is extended through 2023.
Rece Davis is going to love this new role given to him by ESPN. ESPN’s executive vice president John Wildhack believes that Rece Davis has come a long way and that he is the right man for the job.
Davis said that this new contract and agreement is our belief in him that he is one of the best in the sporting industry. He also said that Rece Davis has established himself as a professional and he has showed us that he could be very versatile.
John Wildhack also had good words to say about Chris Fowler. He said that Chris played an important part into making College GameDay an award winning show. He said that it was because of Chris Fowler that the show had become an iconic program and that is why it has a huge following throughout the country.
John also said that this show made sure that it took public opinion into account and that is why people loved it so much. Davis has been with ESPN for quite some time now and this is why he will be doing a number of shows.
He will be hosting the Tuesday night rankings show, the Sunday selection show and anchor coverage on site at College Football playoff semifinals. And with all of that Rece Davis will continue to act as the lead host of the Men’s Final Four coverage.
Rece Davis is also happy with his contract extension. He said that he is really pleased to sign this new contract and said that ESPN is his professional home.
He said that his past years at ESPN had been really rewarding and he has tried to do his very best. This is why he was awarded with another contract that will go till the end of 2023. Rece Davis also said that he cares deeply about college football.
