For 6 months Rihanna did not post a single picture until recently.
This all happened six months ago due to a controversy over topless photos in May. After this Rihanna’s Instagram feed went quiet for months. However this Sunday was a great day for her fans as she made a comeback on her Instagram account, posting two shots in quick succession.
The hashtags used were #badgalback and #RIHunited. Some of Rihanna’s posts, before her instagram interruption, had sparked outcries in places as far as Abu Dhabi and Thailand.
Rihanna is known to have one of the most popular and controversial accounts on Instagram left her 12 million followers in the dark when she went away for six months. However this Sunday she came back with an upside down shot of part of her face.
The relationship with Instagram took a bump because Rihanna had posted a topless picture of herself from the cover of a French magazine, breaching the app’s terms of use. After this Rihanna resorted to Twitter for her posting, but she and Twitter have made up recently.
Even Instagram seemed to be happy with the return of Rihanna and announced her return in a celebratory tweet, which Rihanna could not stop re-tweeting. The tweet read “Welcome back @rihanna! #RIHunited #badgalback”, which clearly shows Instagram, takes this star seriously.

The tweet was linked to one of Rihanna’s new Instagram posts, which featured a cartoon drawing of the Grammy winner holding hands with an Instagram mascot. See the Instagram below.
Previously due to her photos Rihanna got into hot waters. While in Abu Dhabi for a concert she visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center where she posed for some photos unaware that it would get her into trouble and she was asked to leave the mosque immediately.
This does not stop here and her pictures have also caused problems in Thailand and her pictures landed two men in jail. While rihanna was in Thailand she posted a photo with a Loris, an endangered primate.
The picture led to an outcry in Thailand and police officials had to make raids and eventually arrested two men involved in this event. Rihanna also tweeted about her X-rated experiences, such as the staging of sex shows. This left the Thai officials embarrassed and they had to issue statements and make raids as they say this effects Thai reputation.
All that can be said is that Rihanna is one unpredictable star. She has always been a part of controversies and still remains so. Let’s see whether she learns something from all these episodes or still goes on doing what she wants to.
Some people have even speculated her return to Instagram because she has a new album coming up. However no news of such sort has been confirmed. Leaving everything aside her 12 million Instagram followers are in much of a treat now that their star has returned back after six months.
