Sawyer Sweeten dies suspiciously at the age of 19

Sawyer appeared in the hit comedy show Everybody Loves Raymond as a child star

Child star Sawyer Sweeten who was best known for his role in “Everybody Loves Raymond” died suspiciously at the age of 19.

According to a report by Variety, Sawyer Sweeten, who was a visiting family in Texas, was found dead on the front porch on Thursday. The initial reports indicate that Sweeten shot himself in the head and it could possibly a case of suicide.

The 19-years old Sawyer Sweeten appeared in “Everybody Loves Raymond” as a child star, where he played Geoffrey Baron, one of the two young twins in the comedy show alongside his brother Sullivan. His real-life sister Madylin also acted in the sitcom. Even though Sweeten’s character was not the major focus still he featured regularly in the show. The twins were just infants when they started working on the show.

“Everybody Loves Raymond” aired on CBS from September 1996 to /4/2005. It was one of the most watched shows of that time and the ratings remained fairly consistent throughout the nine seasons. It was also ranked as the second best comedy show after NBC’s Friends, receiving nominations in multiple awards including Emmy, AFI, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild and Satellite Awards. The show won Outstanding Comedy Series twice, in 2002 and 2005, at the Emmy Awards.

Sawyer Sweeten, meanwhile, appeared in one episode of Disney’s show “Even Stevens”. He also had a brief role in the 2002 film “Frank Mcklusky, C.I.” He and his brother stopped acting when “Everybody Loves Raymond” wrapped in 2005. The two of them last appeared publically in 2010, at the 8th Annual ceremony of TV Land Awards.
