The French Paradox is about the French diet containing high amounts of saturated fats, but the French have a very low rate of coronary heart disease. It is widely believed that this is because of the red wine the French wash down their food. This not entirely true. The American Chemical Society revealed in an educational video that drinking any alcoholic beverage in moderation can help preventing coronary heart diseases.
The Ethanol found in alcohol beverages is pushing HDL Cholesterol production. HDL Cholesterol is responsible for keeping our blood pipes clean. The report warns about the obvious. Too much alcohol is bad for health and can have very negative impact on your life.
Moderate drinking can help overall health. Recently coffee has been found to lower the risk of heart attacks.
