Sharon Osbourne Will Take One Month Break After Collapse

“The Talk” co-host was suffering with “extreme exhaustion” after her trip to New York and Toronto

Sharon Osbourne is taking a month off after collapsing at her home in Los Angeles on Friday.

“The Talk” co-host reportedly collapsed last Friday night when she returned from a busy trip to New York and Toronto, which eventually led to the extreme “mental and physical fatigue”. Her representative told People.

The doctors of 62-years old Osbourne report that she is suffering from “extreme exhaustion”. They further reported that she possibly did not take complete rest and went back to the work too early after being hospitalized earlier this year for pneumonia.

Sharon Osbourne battled pneumonia back in March this year after having a hernia surgery. Her daughter Kelly Osbourne sat in for her mother in the “The Talk” during her absence. “Unfortunately, my momma had surgery last week, she had a hernia and didn’t expect it to be as painful, and then she got pneumonia, so please…send her your well wishes because she is really, really over being sick.” Kelly Osbourne explained to the audience while temporarily replacing her mother on the show.

“Sharon has been advised and has agreed to take a month hiatus to recover fully from the recent events,” her rep said. “Sharon would like to thank everyone at “The Talk” for granting her this time off and all friends, family and others for their incredible support.”

Sharon Osbourne has been associated with “The Talk” since its commencement in 2010. She is among one of the three hosts who have been the part of the show throughout the five seasons – besides Julia Chen and Sara Gilbert. The break of the whole month means the show has to move along without her or has to find a replacement of her on temporarily basis.

Sharon Osbourne has been struggling with various diseases in the past ten years or so. In 2002, she had been diagnosed with colorectal cancer and had to undergo a surgical treatment to prevent from being speard. In 2012, it had been discovered that she is carrying the gene that make her susceptible to breast cancer. She had a double mastectomy for bringing herself out of the cloud of the cancer.
