Sheryl Sandberg Breaks Silence on Dave Goldberg’s Death

Sheryl Sandberg breaks silence on husband Dave Goldberg’s death in a sad Facebook post!

When Sheryl Sandberg’s husband Dave Goldberg died she remained silent in shock. On Tuesday Sandberg broke her silence when she posted a sad message on Facebook describing the loss of her husband as the darkest moment of her life.

In the message Sheryl Sandberg first thanked her friends and family for giving her so much of love in last few days calling it extraordinary and stated Dave will stay alive in all of their hearts.

Sheryl then recalled how she first met Dave when she moved to L.A. about 20 years ago and he became her best friend. Dave was the first one who introduced Sheryl to the internet also made her experience Jewish holidays and cool music. 

Sheryl proclaimed her marriage of 11 years was the happiest and truest partnership ever imagined and Dave deeply loved, understood and supported her which she will always carry with her along with the two amazing children they had together. Sheryl then described Dave as her rock and a dedicated father whose spirit remains with her and the children. 

According to Sheryl she and Dave did not get enough time together but even though she is heartbroken and the last few days were like the darkest and saddest hell for her she knows she is very lucky.

Even if Sheryl knew Dave would be taken away from her in 11 short years after walking down the aisle she would have married him. 11 years as Dave Goldberg’s wife and 10 years of being a parent with him to the children brought her more happiness than she could have ever imagined. 

Sheryl is grateful for every minute she had with him and as they buried Dave’s body today she realized his spirit and soul will remain with them. Even though their life will never be the same Sheryl believes the world was better when Dave lived.
