Actress Sofia Vergara has been honored with a star on Hollywood Wall of Fame on Thursday.
Sofia Vergara, who was dressed up in golden floral embroidered outfit, has become 2,551st personality to be immortalized on the Walk of Fame for outstanding contributions to entertainment industry especially for her work in award-winning sitcom Modern Family.
The 42-years old actress is the highest paid actress on the television for the last three years. She has appeared on many films and TV shows including “Chasing Papi”, “Four Brothers”, “Madea Goes to Jail” but is best known for her work in ABC series “Modern Family” as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, for which she has won nominations for Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The series itself won five consecutive awards in the category of Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. In 2014, Forbes ranked Sofia as the 32nd most powerful women in the world.
In the ceremony, Sofia was joined by her fiancé 38 year old Joe Manganiello and her co-stars from the Modern Family Julie Bowen, Ed O’Neill and Eric Stonestreet were also present there to celebrate the moment, reported by People. The ceremony came just at the time when Sofia Vergara latest movie “Hot Pursuit” co-starring Reese Withespoon has been released in the theaters.
The actress is also making headlines for her dispute with her ex boyfriend over frozen embryos. Earlier, Sofia also appeared on “Good Morning America” squaring off her ex Nick Loeb.
“I really want to make this last I talk about it because I don’t think it’s fair,” Sofia Vergara said in the interview. “I’ve been working very hard for 20 years to get to this point where I am. I promote all my movies, all my work but I don’t like promoting my private life.”
