Sofia Vergara’s ex Nick Leob speaks out about the embryonic custody issue in an essay to the New York Times!
Nick Leob the man we all know as the ex-boyfriend of the famous ‘Modern Family’ star Sofia Vergara just penned an essay for the New York Times. In the essay Leob sheds light on his side of the story in the recent embryonic eggs custody dispute Vergara and Leob are currently involved in.
The essay provides Leob’s point of view on why he wants custody of the eggs created with Sofia Vergara and has raised questions about the debate on embryonic custody.
Leob explains how in 2013 he created two fertilized female embryos with Vergara but they miscarried when implanted. A year later Vergara and Leob tried again and created two more eggs that still remain frozen.
Leob mentions how at the time of creating the eggs by California law they both signed agreements but it did not specify what would happen in the events they broke up. Leob also revealed the reason for his break up with Vergara was an ultimatum he gave her to raise a family when he hit the age of 40.
Leob even revealed his views on the rights of a man in embryo custody disputes and explained he believes the embryos are equal to human life for him and his stance comes from a pro parent place.
Leob even asked Vergara to take full responsibility for the ‘Girls’ as he calls the two frozen embryos and assured he even offered to pay for all the expenses to raise them. The essay claims Leob gave Vergara the offer to declare her as an egg donor and rescind all parental obligations but she refused.
According to Leob’s religious views keeping the eggs frozen forever is equal to killing them and he wishes one day his father who is 80 years old gets to see his grandchildren.
