Suzanne Crough Condray the actress from the show ‘The Partridge Family’ found dead at 52!
The actress Suzanne Crough Condray potrayed the youngest daughter on the hit 70’s show ‘The Partridge Family’ was found dead on Monday night. Suzanne was found at her home in Laughlin, Nevada and probably suffered from a medical episode confirmed by her husband William Condray.
The Las Vegas police confirmed the circumstances of her death are not suspicious and an autopsy has been planned to determine the cause of death, according to LATimes.
Suzanne played the role of ‘Tracy Partridge’ on the hit comedy show from 1970 to 1974. The popular show was about a large musical family of a widowed suburban mother which ran on ABC. Shirley Jones played the mother and her real life step son David Cassidy played her son Keith Partridge, who became a teen heartthrob of the time.
Suzanne once said in 2010 unlike Jones and Cassidy she did not sing on the show but her part was more of playing any instrument they put in her hand. Some of the instruments fake played by Suzanne on the show included a tambourine, a triangle and a cowbell. Suzanne’s job was to provide a soft touch as the youngest daughter of a big brood.
Suzanne was born in 1963 and in addition to her role on ‘The Partridge Family’ she also appeared in the film ‘Teenage Father’ which won an Oscar in 1979 for best live action short film. However as an dult she opted to stay out of the spotlight.
Suzanne married her husband 30 years ago and has two daughters with him and a grandchild. Currently Suzanne owned a bookstore in Temecula and worked as a manager.
On the 40th anniversary of the show ‘The Partridge Family’ Suzanne revealed unlike the girls of the entire nation she viewed Cassidy as a brother rather than a heartthrob.
