Taylor Swift fulfills Last Wish of 4-year-old Fan

The singer connected with her little fan through Facetime and fulfilled her last wish.

Jalene Salinas a 4 year old girl from San Antonio, Texas who is battling an aggressive form of terminal brain cancer only had one final wish. All the time she dreamed of dancing with her favorite singer Taylor Swift to Taylor’s hit song ‘Shake It Off’.

Jalene’s mother stated to Kens5 that she had crossed out all of the wishes from Jalene’s list except the wish to meet Taylor Swift and it seemed too much. However due to #ShakeItOffJalene which people began to post on Twitter, Taylor Swift finally realized that one of her fans was in need. 

So on Monday around 6 p.m. Jalene’s final wish finally came true when the 25 year old singer Taylor Swift chatted with the family for 20 minutes during a surprise call through Facetime. The singer was heard as telling the family that she was sorry that the family is having a bad night and that she is very happy to talk to them. She also told Jalene that she was very happy to find out that she likes Shake It Off. Taylor also told Jalene that she looked really beautiful and that she is just as pretty as her pictures. 

Well Taylor Swift really made the call at the right time as on Saturday Jalene’s health deteriorated and she was even unable to attend a special event to raise funds for her final expenses. Jalene’s mother Jennifer stated that Jalene was unable to walk when she woke up but she is still responding and is also able to talk. Well Jalene sure is one brave and strong girl. 

When the people of San Antonio and other cities heard of that a wish was left on Jalene’s list they took it upon themselves to fulfill it. People began to post #ShakeItOffJalene in order to gain Taylor Swift’s attention.

Taylor Swift in her call to the family also told them that she had heard of Jalene and her illness while she was away for a tour in London and had planned calling Jalene once she was back to the states from her tour. Jalene’s mother Jennifer also stated that Jalene was in a lot of pain and couldn’t talk much but she was delighted to see Taylor Swift on the mobile phone.

Jalene’s mother also said that now she could check everything off from Jalene’s list and that it means the world to her that Jalene got to do whatever she wished for. Jalene’s mother also thanked all the people who helped her in making this wish come true. She also thanked Taylor Swift for reaching out to Jalene and talking to her. Moreover when Jennifer was finishing her interview Jalene had two words for all the people that supported her “Love y’all”. 

It makes me very happy when celebrities do such things for their fans and it shows that there are people out there who still care.
