Taylor Swift announces her mother Andrea Swift has cancer in a heartfelt post on Tumblr!

Taylor Swift broke some very sad news on Thursday in a post on her Tumblr. The post entitled ‘Just so you know’ announced that her mother Andrea Swift nee Finlay has been diagnosed with cancer.

Taylor started the post by telling her fans she’s giving them an update she wishes she didn’t have to but it is important for her to share the news with her fans as she always does.

Whatever happens to Taylor she processes the event into a song and the music her fans hear appraises them about it much later. However Taylor and her family have decided this news needs to be broken to the fans now. 

Taylor shared how she had asked her mother, Andrea Swift, to go and get screen for any health issues as a Christmas gift to her. Taylor wrote her mother agreed just to put Taylor and her brother’s mind at ease.

Finally Taylor delivered the bombshell when she revealed after the result came in they were saddened to discover her mother has cancer. 

Although Taylor shared she would like to keep the details of her mother’s illness private, Taylor and her mother wanted her fans to know. The reason for the announcement was Taylor compelling her fans to ask their parents to take time out for their health ad visit a doctor.

Taylor shared if anyone’s parent is diagnosed with cancer early there /4/be an easier battle for them ahead. Taylor announced her mother might not be at many of her concerts this year because she has a battle with cancer to fight. 

Finally Taylor thanked her fans for caring so much about her family that her mother wanted to share such an intimate detail with them. The seven times Grammy award winner hopes and prays none of her fans eve get news like this.
