The Bachelor: Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff are No Longer Engaged

The Bachelor winner Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff have called off their engagement after only six months together!

The engagement between Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff is officially over after a mere six months. The news was broken by The Bachelor franchise creator Mike Fleiss on twitter on Thursday. Fleiss tweeted he is reporting a sad news but Soules and Bischoff are no longer together and it is a sad day for all of them at The Bachelor.

The news was confirmed by a joint statement announcing their amicable break up issued from both Soules and Bischoff. Only two months ago the finale of the reality series The Bachelor aired where the 33 years old Soules asked the 29 years old Bischoff to marry him. Apparently the sparks shown on the TV show sizzled out between the farmer Soules and the fertility nurse Bischoff within six months after filming the show The Bachelor.  

According to the statement announcing their break up, Soules and Bischoff have mutually decided to end their engagement and have parted with respect from each other and will keep on admiring one another. The couple will continue to be supportive friends and wish to thank everyone who supported them throughout their journey.  

“Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement,” the couple tells E! News in a statement. “They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.”

Chris Harrison the host of The Bachelor expressed his regret after hearing the news of the couple’s break up and stated he is truly sorry about the ending of Soules and Bischoff’s engagement. However Harrison considers them both as friends and will continue to do anything he can to support his friends through an obviously tough time. 

Harrison also revealed that after Soules’ stint on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ the Iowa native went back to his farm and Harrison had thought the couple will give a go to their relationship there but apparently Harrison was wrong.
