It is going to feature a 2560 x 1600 AMOLED display
We had been hearing rumors about a Samsung tablet with AMOLED display and recently it made the rounds on the internet and it still hadn’t been announced officially by Samsung. This tablet is going to mark the start of a new family of tablets for Samsung which will be known as the Galaxy Tab S. So far we know that the tablet is going to launch in two different sizes of 8.4” and 10.5”.
The display forms the highlight of all the specs revolving the new tablet from the Tab S family. This AMOLED display unit is going to be quite generous with the resolution which is going to come in at 2560 x 1600 pixels. After the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 which was launched in 2011, this one is going to be Samsung’s first AMOLED display on a slate. All the slates falling under the Samsung Galaxy Tab S family will be featuring the Exynos 5 SoC with big.LITTLE octa-core CPU (four 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores). The slate also comes equipped with a hexa-core Mali-T628 GPU which is perfect for the video processing task. There is also going to be an impressive 3GB of 32-bit dual-channel 933 MHz LPDDR3e RAM on board.
The camera setup is also good enough with an 8 MP main camera which will have the ability to record videos at 1080p and then there is the less impressive 2.1MP front-facing unit. Users will also have an optional LTE on board connectivity.
