Third party offers will be cheaper than Apple’s own stainless steel and leather straps

The Apple Watch is going to come with its own straps and bands but third parties are also going to do their part just like there are always case manufacturers on the lookout. However, considering Apple’s bands would obviously mean shelling out a lot of bucks and the third party offers are there to neutralize things. Users can get the $349 Sport model and then for a tinge of luxury they can have a stainless steel or leather band for a lesser price as compared to Apple’s price tags.

Some very interesting options have surfaced during this time and one of them is the Monowear Design which is a crowdfunding campaign right now and is going to offer both leather and stainless steel bands costing $80 each.

This might not fall right away under the reasonable category but once you compare this price with what Apple is asking for, you will certainly feel like going for this option. If you want to get your watch’s stainless steel link bracelet from Apple, you will have to shell out $450 which is more than the price of the device itself. Leather options range between $149 and $249 and Apple will also offer a rubber Sport band for $49.

Another campaign starting off on KickStarter is going to bring another interesting product called Click. The company explains their product in detail;

“Our product, we call Click, lets customers use any 24mm watchband with the Apple Watch by simply sliding the spring bar we provide into the watchband, clicking the watchband into the adapter, and sliding the adapter into the Apple Watch. Click takes advantage of the sliding and locking mechanism on both sides of the watch to hold the adapter in place just like one of Apple’s watchbands.”
