Toyota Tacoma 2016 introduced at the NAIAS 2015 in Detroit

The new 2016 Toyota Tacoma has been equipped with new engine, suspension tuning and transmissions and has been designed and assembled in North America.

Toyota has finally unveiled its new Tacoma at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2015. The new Tacoma has been rebuild inside and out with an all-new powertrain and enhanced suspension tuning. The Tacoma comes with a proud legacy of off-road victories and over seven million units sold in 1964. 

Bill Fay the group vice president & general manager of Toyota Division stated that for nearly the past 50 years adventure seeking Americans have heavily relied on Toyota trucks. He also said that the new homegrown Tacoma is a tough truck that has been designed and developed for the lifestyles of the young. 

This new Toyota Tacoma 2016 has been built by the Toyota engineering team at Toyota Technical Canter in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This time around the Tacoma has a high strength steel which has enhanced its rigidity and overall strength.

The suspension has been fine-tuned keeping the places in mind where driver love to take their Tacoma. Now the new Tacoma will be equipped with a 2.7 liter four cylinder engine and an all-new segment first 3.5 liter Atkinson cycle V6 equipped with Toyota’s D-4S technology.

Both these engines will be paired to a new six speed automatic transmission. Moreover this comes with electronic shift delivering quick and easy shifting. This helps to make the new Tacoma more powerful and fuel efficient than before.   

Well to start off the Tacoma has been given wheel flares which are strong and muscular. This has been done in order to provide the drivers with greater wheel travel. Plus the high-lift image reflects its purposeful capability.

The front boasts a bold upper grille and a taller more muscular hood. The behind will have a new locking tailgate which basically emphasizes Tacoma’s wide stance and tough image. Moreover the tailgate also features an integrated spoiler which has been added for improved aerodynamics and a stamped Tacoma logo.  

The interior of the new Tacoma is also outstanding just like its exterior. The interior provides the drivers with many premium features such as Qi wireless charging, smart key with push button start, power moonroof, leather trimmed seats, dual zone automatic climate control, blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert, enhanced touchscreen audio and many more new features which will make the driver quite happy.

Plus the new Tacoma has been equipped with a multi-layer acoustic windshield and sound absorbing headliner. A floor silencer pad has also been added. This has been done in order to make the Tacoma quieter than ever.  The Tacoma will also be made available in five grades in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations. 

The 2016 Tacoma truck by Toyota is one of the best trucks that have been introduced at the NAIAS 2015 which is being held in Detroit, Michigan. With all these features the 2016 Toyota Tacoma will definitely rock the truck market as it rocks the NAIAS 2015 in Detroit.
