Twitter introduces “While You Were Away” Recap Feature

Twitter introduced its new “While You Were Away” feature which presents a list of top tweets you might have missed while you were away from your home timeline.

The accounts you normally follow on Twitter will have their top tweets culled and presented for your perusal via an amenity termed “While You Were Away”. Thus what you might have missed if you didn’t frequent the site much will be set in an array right before your eyes for examination. And the stuff is adjustable in nature.

Thus if you go more often on Twitter, the tweets will be fewer in their sheer quantity that get relayed to you via this new feature. The basic idea is to allow you, the consumer, to keep in touch with the trends of the times on Twitter no matter how careless (or careful) you happen to be regarding the top tweets.

And the real beauty of this setup is that the authenticity of Twitter never gets compromised one bit. Since Twitter is a real time operation, when these tweets gather they are in fact a huge favor to those weekend nerds and geeks who don’t frequent Twitter so regularly. 

There is one thing though and that is the agony of going through the long list of tweets according to “While You Were Away” since they appear ahead of time and have to be sifted and waded through before the latest tweets could be turned on.

This seems to be the only disadvantage and drawback of this new amenity. Yet it is still a big solution to the problem of people going through the past tweets because now they will already be present on the site.

What this feature provides is a recap of what you /4/have missed out on while you were elsewhere. The amenity is available on iOS for Apple iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch. It will be arriving on Google Android soon.

From now on-wards Twitter will never be the same again. It will cater to its laziest customers with this special service. And every consumer has the right to clear away the “While You Were Away” top tweets in a second or two.

Thus it is indeed a hunky dory deal that will serve the Twitter-bugs to no end. They will always remain in touch with the pulse of the times. And the Zeitgeist won’t fail them no matter what!
