Universal Orlando to Open a New King Kong Attraction

The new attraction named “Skull Island: Reign of Kong” will set up in summer 2016

Universal Orlando Resort announced Wednesday that they are getting a new attraction Skull Island: Reign of Kong in summer 2016.

“Over the past 25 years, Universal Orlando has created some of the world’s most incredible entertainment experiences by combining emotional storytelling, timeless characters and innovative ride technologies.  Today, we honor one of the most monumental figures in movie history, King Kong, with the announcement of a groundbreaking attraction opening in the summer of 2016 at Universal’s Island of Adventure – Skull Island: Reign of Kong.” Universal Orlando released a statement on its official blog. 

The Universal Orlando is a theme park famous for many exciting innovative rides such as “The Wizardang World of Harry Potter” which takes visitors into a mesmerizing magical world, “The Amazing Adventure of Spider Man” with crystal clear graphics which provide an unforgettable close to the real experience and “Transformer: The Ride-3D” makes riders feel that they are actually in the world of transformers. The introductions of new King Kong ride will definitely going to add more fun and enjoyment.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong will be among the largest attractions of the theme park which will take people through jungles, explore ancient caves and battle hostile fearsome creatures, dinosaurs and even the colossal King Kong himself.

“Once a skull Island you’ll board revolutionary ride vehicles to begin your expedition, but it quickly turns into a fight for survival as you encounter creatures of unknown origin and even the great Kong himself.” Universal creative Mike West said. The creators of the ride are also working closely with Peter Jackson, the director of 2005 King Kong reboot, to make something extraordinary and larger than life. The storyline of the ride is expected to be entirely new so the people can get something which they have never experienced before.

In the late 1990s, Universal had a King Kong based ride named “Kongfrontation” as well which was closed later for erecting another ride.
