Nearly 200 million vehicles are now ready for this powerful new consumer service.
Verizon today introduced its Verizon Vehicle at the North American International Auto Show. The Verizon Vehicles is basically a powerful connected vehicle service available directly to consumers in the US which aims to modernize traditional roadside assistance offerings along with increasing driver safety, savings and convenience.
The Verizon Vehicle is expected to make its commercial debut in the second quarter of 2015 and will deliver the next generation of vehicle information technology and service. With the release of the Verizon Vehicle driver will have diagnostic technology to help them all the time with live assistance and pinpoint roadside assistance with GPS accuracy.
Moreover the Verizon Vehicle will also connect the drivers with live A.S.E Certified Mechanics to diagnose potential problems and offer solutions.

The president of Verizon Telematics, Erik Goldman stated that today there are more than 200 million vehicles that are driven without connected capabilities in the U.S and all these vehicles could benefit from this new service that has been introduced by the company.
Mr. Erik further stated that as one of the largest communications companies in the world the company is focused in providing consumers with new and innovative technology solutions that connect people and solve their problems.
He explained that Verizon Vehicle is a unique and truly holistic aftermarket solution that will be made available to more than 200 million vehicles. He further stated that this new service by the company modernizes the traditional roadside assistance offerings.
With the service whenever the drivers need assistance the built-in GPS identifies their exact location and a tow truck or other help is dispatched. The Verizon Vehicle is being powered by the company’s award winning and renowned Verizon Wireless network. This provides the drivers with peace of mind about the availability of their connected services.

Coming to the point that how the Verizon Vehicle works, you will be happy to learn that it is a very user friendly service. This subscription based service operates through an OBD reader that is self-installed in the under dash diagnostic port, a Bluetooth enabled speaker that is attached to the visor and a complementary smartphone app.
The speaker provides the users a one button push connection to the member care group, the mechanics hotline and roadside assistance. There is also another button for SOS emergency situations.
This subscription based new service will be coming along with features such as GPS-directed pinpoint Roadside Assistance for breakdowns, flat tires or anything that requires a tow truck.
Then there is the Automatic Urgent Incident Alert System which basically places a call to the Verizon Vehicle Member Care Center. Then there is a One-Button SOS Assistance which immediately connects the driver to a live agent for emergency aid and then the service will also feature an Auto Health System.
