Official launch date for update is March 11
A new update for the windows 8.1 operating system has been leaked ahead of its official launch. The official launch of the Windows 8.1 Update 1 is set for March. The update has leaked on file sharing sites online from an unknown source reports The Verge.
A number of people have installed the update and offered up details on what has changed. The update promises to bring changes to the title bar for Windows 8-style apps. The new title bar allows you to close and minimize the apps as well as snap them side by side using the mouse.
The start screen is also changed with context options on Live Tiles with a right click. A search button and shutdown options are on the Start Screen now. The options for shutdown include restart, shutdown, and sleep.
There are several other tweaks as well. The changes include the desktop bar now showing Store apps in the taskbar. It also can activate the taskbar by hovering at the bottom of a metro app. The official update is expected on March 11.
