Over a case of a confiscated iPhone, a 12 year old girl tried to poison her mother twice

Ever felt a pang of anger rush through you when your parents ground you or punish you in any other way? Pretty sure we have all been there but have we really ever felt like killing them? Like literally? We don’t think so but this girl was definitely having sinister thoughts and was blinded by frustration when her mother confiscated her phone. We know we can’t part with our phones for even a second but this or nothing else justifies what this 12 year old girl did.

Boulder, Colo. Authorities have revealed the story of this 12 year old who still remains to be unidentified and has been sent to the juvenile jail after she deliberately added bleach to her mother’s drink. You might all be wondering what reason this girl had for killing her mother over a simple punishment of confiscation; the girl thought that her iPhone was worth her mother’s death.

Another surprising twist to the plot is that the girl didn’t do this once but tried spiking her mother’s drink twice. Details regarding these two attempts haven’t been disclosed by the authorities but so far we only know that the girl is being detained on suspicion of attempted murder. According to the Boulder district attorney, it is up to him to decide whether or not this girl is going to face charges as an adult or as a juvenile.

The authorities have so far revealed that the first attempt was made on March 2nd when the girl spiked her mother’s breakfast smoothie with bleach but her mother smelled something off before she got to drink it. However, she did fall ill after that and thought it was because the glass hadn’t been rinsed properly. Another attempt was made by the girl on March 6th when he added bleach to the water carafe and the mother was again able to figure out that something was going on.

“On the second occasion, mom noticed the odor of bleach and confronted her daughter,” Prentup added in her official statement. “This is when she learned her daughter had developed a plan to kill her for taking away her iPhone.”
