The new Apple TV features Siri and A8 processor

This means your Apple TV can now play 4k videos from YouTube and Netflix

New about the Apple TV made its way to the company’s Spring Forward event this month and an announcement made by the company would have made the fans happier than before. We are quite sure that a lot of us had postponed or entirely dropped the idea of purchasing one simply because it was too costly. Now we are expecting to see sales soaring high as the Cupertino giant announces a reduction in price; you can purchase the Apple TV for as low as $69 now.

However, this was the only thing we heard about Apple TV during the entire event apart from HBO Now which is now available on almost all Apple devices. We weren’t informed about any hardware updates or new content. This is nothing to be disappointed about however. From what we have suspected, this might be because the existing Apple TV is getting old school now.

John Paczkowski of Buzzfeed News has shared this little piece of information which claims that Apple is about to unveil its new Apple TV set top box and these wraps are going to be taken off at the WWDC event.

On the new Apple TV we are expecting to see a change on the hardware along with an A8 processor inside. This is quite some development; if you remember, this is the same processor which is featured inside the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus. The A8 processor also means that users will be able to enjoy 4K videos. So now you are looking forward to higher resolution videos from YouTube and Netflix (but bear in mind that you will have to own a TV that supports 4K output). And in comes Siri and we know that the Apple TV has reached perfection. You can now interact with your new Apple TV using only your voice.
