Microsoft will release at least two high-end Lumia Windows 10 phones this fall. Specifications of the phones have leaked.
Microsoft had big news about Windows 10 last week at the Build 2015 developer conference. The company also revealed new features for Windows 10 on phones with continuum and dual screen capabilities. Microsoft will of course launch new smartphones with Windows 10 this fall. That much was clear, but now the specifications of two upcoming Windows 10 phones has leaked.
According to a report on Unleash The Phones, the Lumia with codename Cityman has a large 5.7 inch QHD display, a Qualcomm octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB of RAM, microSD card slot, 20MP rear camera, 5MP front facing camera, and a 3300 mAh removable battery.
The Lumia codenamed Talkman has a 5.2 inch QHD display, a 6 core processor from Qualcomm, 3GB RAM, 32GB, microSD card slot, 20MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and a 3000 mAh removable battery.
Both new Windows 10 phones will have 64-bit support and the cameras have a triple LED-Flash.
Microsoft needs to make a major splash with the Windows 10 phones to catch finally up with Apple and Google. Windows 10 looks great so far and is finally getting users and developers a unified operating system across all devices.
Windows 10 for PCs will likely launch end of summer. The Windows 10 mobile phone OS cames later in Fall. Microsoft has not announced specific Windows 10 release dates yet. Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for qualified new or existing Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices that upgrade in the first year.
