TMZ reported yesterday that actor Stephen Collins is under criminal investigation. He got taped confessing to child molestation. The first consequences are already taking place.
7th Heaven Re-Run Stopped because of Stephen Collins Scandal
As reported yesterday morning, TMZ is on the forefront of another Hollywood scandal. Stephen Collins, who played the dad on 7th Heaven got secretly taped by his estranged wife confessing to child molestation. TMZ got their hands on the audio tape and actually published it. Stephen Collins and actress Faye Grant are in an ongoing divorce battle. The tape was recorded turing a therapy session.
TMZ reports that the NYPD has also the tape and have opened a criminal investigation.
The 67-year-old actor has not been charged yet with a crime, but the producers of Seth MacFarlane’s Ted 2 have already cut Stephen Collins from the movie says a report on Entertainment Weekly. Stephen Collins was set to play an unannounced role on Ted 2. Apparently it was enough for Seth MacFarlene to hear the tape and that there is an investigation underway to decide to get rid of Collins.
Now TV Guide Network, which was airing a re-run of 7th Heaven has stopped the show. TMZ reports that the two remaining episodes will not be broadcasted.
TMZ has just posted a report with statements of Collins’ lawyer. According to him Stephen Collins’ wife has used the tape to get millions out of Collins or she will give it to the media. Now she just did that.
Stephen Collins is best known for playing Eric Camden on the TV series 7th Heaven. The show ran from 1996 to 2007. 7th Heaven tells the story of the Camdens, a Protestant minister’s family living in the fictional town of Glen Oak, California. The central characters are the Reverend Eric Camden (Stephen Collins), his wife Annie, and their seven children. The 7th Heaven children cast included Hollywood star Jessica Biel.
Last month we reported about a 7th Heaven Reunion that included also Jessica Biel.

So disappointed with Stephen Collins. 7th Heaven was my show and Reverend Camden was awesome!
