The Search for Missing Malaysia Airlines Jet seems to take more time before possible findings are arrived at.This situation is complicated due to dead black box batteries.
Black Box Batteries of the Missing Malaysia Airlines Jet Deemed to Have Died
Since it was reported missing, the search for Malaysia Airlines jet could take more weeks if at all its black box is not functional. This gadget is normally used by detectors to establish the specific location of any missing plane. A month has gone since the jet was declared missing as it was carrying more than 250 passengers. Several detective measures have been employed but all in vain. Malaysia government even went ahead to seek powers from one of the country’s renowned magicians in to order in locating the jet.
According to ABC News, Flight MH370 is said to have a dead vital black box thus complicating the search. The newsroom indicated a possibility of extending up to weeks or months before tangible steps are realized. In looking at the ongoing detective measures, underwater signals have been employed although declared dormant in giving promising findings of the missing jet. As a result, experts handling the detectives have come to believe that the black box batteries /4/have died. This means, there can be no transmissions of any nature to their systems.
To many people, they /4/not understand what usually happens whenever a search of this nature takes place. Assume for instance the black box of this missing Malaysia Airline is working. There should be pings sent and detected by transmitters placed on underwater detectors. The process has to involve highly experienced guys who know how to handle the equipment alongside making use of them. Now, in this case everybody seems to be desperate on possibilities of finding the MH370. This is according to reports from Associated Press expressing the situation faced by the experts as they appear to have lost hope.
Earlier last week, detectives from Ocean Shield came up with four signals during a thorough search for the missing Boeing 777’s black box. Nobody should start rejoicing yet as more signals cannot be detected. Ocean Shield is an Australian ship that has taken steps of sailing on top of water with ping locator in a tow. All these four signals were discovered to be consistent thus helped the experts to narrow down the search area to 500-square-mile. This is a patch of deep seabed equivalent to the size of Los Angeles where experts have indicated of no further search until more signals are detected.
The next step is to deploy Bluefin 21 which is submersible in order to carry out demolition of the sea floor. This decision can only be arrived at when officials have indicated that there are no more electronic signals to come. The only difference between Ocean Shield and Bluefin 21 is the time taken to cover underwater-zone distance. For Bluefin 21, it is six times longer and is likely to take between six weeks to 2 months to cover the entire distance. Normally, a black box’s battery lasts for 30 days before it is declared dead where 37 days have already elapsed since the loss of Malaysia Airline.
