Legendary Star Trek actor reveals why he came out. The reason is none other than Terminator actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I remember seeing George Takei as Sulu on Star Trek many decades ago. He is back in the spot light with a documentary about his life right now titled “To Be Takei.” The openly gay activist has revealed in an exclusive interview with Winq why he decided to come out. The reason is action star Arnold Schwarzenegger. That sounds strange, but makes a lot of sense.

See, Schwarzenegger was governor of California at some point. As a Hollywood actor he appeared to be pro gay because of that. But he vetoed down the Marriage Equality Bill to please the reactionary conservatives in the Republican party. This “betrayal” made Takei really angry and made Takei come out.

Another very interesting facet of George Takei is his history of being a Japanese-American during World War II. America freed the world of Hitler, but made really bad choices in the Homeland. George Takei talked about the internment camp for Japanese-Americans in a TED talk a couple weeks ago. Watch below.
