LG Wine Smart is clearly designed for a mid-tier market and one that caters specifically to elderly users.
We all thought that the clamshell form factor had left us for good but it has recently emerged onto the mobile scene and following its rival, LG has also decided to get back into this form factor. For the Korean giant, their new Wine Smart is definitely a groundbreaking introduction as we al know it is the company’s first smartphone to bear that form ever since the it launched its Wine series back in 2007.
Flip phones or clamshells had been in style for quite a long time not just in the US but the rest of the world too but everything changed when the iPhone arrived with its singular flat body which won the hearts of many. But those who have always loved the style /4/thank companies like Samsung and LG for keeping that style alive somehow. Samsung does bring out a phone or two every year but this is LGs first. However, LG’s approach is slightly different than that of Samsung since the LG Wine Smart is clearly designed for a mid-tier market and one that caters specifically to elderly users.
Shedding some light on the features of the phone, there is 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage which is complimented with microSD. The phone sports a 3.5-inch LCD with a resolution of 480×320 and unlike Samsung’s dual-screen setup, this one stands alone.
