Motorola posted the following picture on its official website, showing the Moto 360 in three different colors – black, silver and gold.
We have all witnessed the popularity of the Motorola Moto 360 which is undoubtedly the most sought after smartwatch in the market right now and it will maintain this status at least till the IFA-announced devices hit the shelves this year. But Motorola is living up to it and it believes that its popularity is here to stay for long and for this reason it wants to spice things up a bit. On the company’s official website, we saw the picture of the smartwatch offering in three different colors; black, silver and gold. Did someone notice what just happened here?
If we all recall, the smartwatch is only available in silver and black which leaves us to think that this was either a mistake by someone on the design team of Motorola or a little sneak peek into an upcoming announcement. Whatever followed through has made us realize that the latter is most likely the case here. The team at Android Police was quick to take notice of this and they immediately contacted Motorola for any comments or developments in this matter. The immediate response to this was the replacement of the picture on the official website with another one which simply didn’t show the gold offering. And Motorola’s comment seems to have raised more suspicion;
“Although we can’t comment on gold specifically, we’re always exploring new materials and we intend to provide Moto 360 in a selection of styles in the future.”
Well, of course we cant be fooled into believing that this gold offering was never their intention and the use of the words here such as ‘new materials’ has just created more suspicion and we know for sure that we will be looking at a gold Moto 360 soon.
