Iggy Azalea recounted a definitive moment she shared with J.Lo. and called it truly surrealistic in its intensity.
Iggy Azalea recounts Definitive Moment with Jennifer Lopez
Iggy Azalea bonded with Jenny from the Block aka J.Lo. by having a musical video clip titled “Booty” released that features them both. The frisky video shows the two together getting all up close and personal.
And the fans have gone into hysterics after seeing the exciting clip. Iggy is taking it lightly though. This was something which she was in fact looking forward to.
According to Iggy, she is a big supporter of Jennifer Lopez. To her Jenny is a sex symbol and the more their joint act is talked about the better it is for Iggy’s PR.
“I did [expect the video to blow up], but only because I’m a massive fan of Jennifer and, you know, to me she’s iconic, so I think anything she does deserves to be spoken about,” Azalea told E! News at the iHeart Radio Festival on Friday.

However, Iggy was flabbergasted at one thing though. She had expected Jennifer Lopez to be very proud and haughty but discovered to her surprise during the making of “Booty” that she was so humble and self-effacing.
It came as quite a contrast.”But the video, you know, Jennifer really surprised me,” she added. There was nothing of the diva-like devastation about her that puts many fans off their larger-than-life cherished icons.
“I thought that she would be like a super-diva, and she was so down to earth and lovely and she didn’t have a crazy ride or anything extra. She just got on with it and she was so sweet, and I feel like I’ve gained a friend out of our collaboration, ” Iggy continued.
“And I had a very surreal moment filming the video with her because she’s somebody that I’ve sung her music back in cars with friends and in bedroom mirrors over the years. It was really great to get to do this with her.”
Iggy was especially thankful to Lopez since she was the one whom Iggy had always imitated since her teenage years. Iggy used to sing along to her songs in front of her bedroom mirror and with friends in a car.
It was almost like a dream had come true when she finally got to sing with her idol in a music video. Watch below the video of Iggy Azalea and J.Lo’s collaborative effort “Surreal”.
“There’s somebody I’ve had my eye on but we just did a secret collaboration, so I’m hoping we’ll be able to announce that in the next few weeks. Another pop queen that I’m excited about,” she said in the end.
Iggy has already had collaborations with several other artists (think Rita Ora, Ariana Grande and T.I.) yet she still has a new one in her mind.
In a teaser of a sentence she said that she has another diva in mind and will be collaborating with her soon. This could be anyone from Katy Perry to Britney Spears. Or it could even be that wild child who is never mild…Miley Cyrus.
Well! The wait is over since the person Iggy will collaborate with is reported to be none other than Ellie Goulding. Iggy sure knows how to keep herself busy and she has always shown a positive attitude in her life.

Iggy Azalea’s Life Story in a Nutshell…
She began the journey of life as Amethyst Amelia Kelly. It was a long way off before she would be called Iggy Azalea by the rest of the world. Sydney was the city of her birth and later on her entire family shifted to Mullumbimby in New South Wales. All this took place when Iggy was still a toddler. So she was unconscious of the fact that she was going places (so to say). Her father Brendan was a painter and her mother Tanya was a house cleaner.
It was her father who sparked an interest in art for art’s sake in Iggy. She began her career as a rap artist at the precocious age of 14. As a teen nubbin she even formed a three girl band but later on dissolved it due to the fact that the other two girls were just fooling around. Azalea hated schoolwork and she only liked art classes. Later on she dropped out and began working with her mother in order to save up enough cash to go to America, the Land of Opportunity. Azalea made few friends in school and was generally on the receiving side of relentless bullying.
Iggy’s mother was worried sick about her and wanted her to be very careful regarding her health and safety in America. Iggy felt like a big fish in a little pond in Australia. She wanted to go where the whole scene was happening and that was no place other than the US of A. Iggy would later on change her name to the present epithet. She borrowed the “Iggy” from the pet name of her dog and the “Azalea” from the street where her family used to live. In the beginning everyone scoffed at her rapping efforts. But Iggy was bigger than her ego and so she took it all with a grain of salt. Soon enough the laughing crowd fell silent when she broke out in the open with hit songs.
Pu$$y was her first song and it as previously mentioned went viral. She was to later on collaborate with many people including the rapper T.I. and French Montana. Her song Murda Bizness made waves. Beyond that such numbers as Bounce, Work, Change your Life, Fancy and Problem (with Ariana Grande) made her a world-famous figure. Her Black Widow with Rita Ora made her worth even more.
To this day, Iggy raps in a southern accent which she picked up during her stints in Miami and Atlanta. She has virtually left behind her Aussie accent and adopted this requirement for all rappers. And despite Nicki Minaj’s mean comments at the award show, the fact of the matter is that Iggy is on top of the world and enjoying every single second of it. Nicki is probably just bloody jealous, which was the reason behind her strange remarks. Iggy shrugs off such barbs since she has the hide of a rhinoceros, which is a necessity in show business.
