The Bachelor: ‘Wonder Couple’ break it off only after a week

Network Ten was a happy network at the end of the second season of The Bachelor. The show scored them the highest rating in history. They blasted the competition out by dividing the final episode in two parts and their strategy worked.

The happy ending between Blake Garvey and Sam Frost earned the network 1.374 million viewers. Does Network Ten care about what happened to the couple that made them so successful?

Blake Garvey and Sam Frost fell in love at the end of the show. Blake’s proposal to Sam with a fifty-eight thousand dollars Bunda diamond ring under the South African sunset instead of the traditional red rose of the show really seemed to set things in stone.

Sam was so excited she said ‘yes’ immediately. People were rooting for the happy couple and they got their wish by the end of the show but all love stories do not have a happy ending.

This one certainly didn’t. What seemed to be unbreakable love in South Africa turned on its head as soon as the happy couple returned to Australia. Reality struck as we can suspect and the couple broke off the engagement only after a week as reported by Network Ten.

The runner-up Lisa Hyde cleared the air by denying that she was not pregnant with Blake’s baby and she wishes that that was the case but Lisa is in no way responsible for the break-up. She wished Sam and Blake a happy life ahead.

Heads turned to Sam who also denied responsibility for the break-up saying it was not her decision. We can assume that the love struck Blake started to regret his decision and perhaps rethought the whole relationship.

There are still no statements from Blake. Network has spoken and confirmed the news on his behalf and it looks like that is all we would be hearing from the rich real estate agent. Talk about being a cold-hearted guy Blake.

Every couple can’t make it work like Tom Robards and Anna Heinrich, the contestants of the first season of The Bachelor. Tom and Anna just celebrated their first anniversary. All the happily-ever-after lovers should look to Tom and Anna and keep their hopes alive to find true love.
