Nobel Prize 2014 Announcement Week is Here

It is Nobel Prize week. The 2014 Nobel Prizes will be announced throughout the whole week starting today. The first announcement is the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. The announcement will be broadcasted live at 11:30am CET. You can watch the announcement below.

The 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine will be announced by Göran K. Hansson, Secretary of the Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine. The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awared in 2013 to James E. Rothman, Randy W. Schekman and Thomas C. Südhof. The got the honor for their discoveries of machinery regulating vesicle traffic, a major transport system in our cells.

Thompson Reuters has published their 2014 Nobel Prize predictions. They name for the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. They name three groups:

• Michael H. Wigler, Charles Lee, Stephen W. Scherer
• James E. Darnell, Jr., Robert G. Roeder, Robert Tjian
• David Julius

2014 The Nobel Peace Prize

Friday 10 October, 11:00 a.m.
The prize will be announced by Thorbjørn Jagland, Chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee.

2014 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel

Monday 13 October, 1:00 p.m.
The prize will be announced by Staffan Normark, Permanent Secretary of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.

2014 Nobel Prize in Literature
