At last someone has realized that the best way of reaching out to the young people is through music. Lil Jon and Lena Dunham have recorded a video dubbedTurn Out. According to Buzzfeed, the video is relatively short because it only lasts for 3 minutes and so you don’t have an excuse for not watching it.
The video adopted the beats of Turn Down For What originally done by Lil Jon and DJ Snake back in 2013.
Other artists that have been included in the comic clip include Whoopi Goldberg and Fred Armisen. In the video, the celebrities are seen addressing young people to hit the ballot boxes in a bid to drum up support for crucial issues that affect young adults.
Each of the celebrities has been recorded speaking about a specific issue. Dunham in particular stated that she is turning out for reproductive rights. Lil Jon maintained that he is turning out to advocate for legalization of Marijuana. The rapper actually puffed out a heavy smoke from what looks like a roll of Marijuana.
Actor Fred Armisen argued that he was turning out to simply please his buddies. The video has since gone viral on YouTube. The video is an initiative of Rock The Vote, which is an organization that is not affiliated with any political party. The organization was established in 1990 and it’s main focus is to carry out civic education on the masses by enlightening them on the importance of voting.
The organization’s spokesman, explained that they decided to use Lil Jon’s hit song Turn Down For What because it was very popular. His argument was based on the 130 million views that that were generated by the video on YouTube.
