Pre-orders begin on October 29th
Google decided to keep all the hype and pomp aside for its official launch of the Nexus 6 smartphone. It simply had to make use of its official Android blog for the announcement and the details have revealed that the phone is exactly like it was expected thanks to all the rumors and leaks we got in the previous few days. As discussed earlier in the rumors, this phone is going to be the first one to run on the new Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The phone might appear to many as the supersized version of the large Moto X which came out this year but from the inside there are notable enhancements and the phone is much stronger internally as compared to Moto X. There is everything on board to make the phone a good choice. There is a 5.9-inch Quad HD screen on board and the phone runs on a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, clocked at 2.7GHz accompanied by a hefty 3,220 mAh battery. It wont be wrong if we say that the phone is a thoroughly corrected version of the Moto X and everything has been topped with the Nexus logo at the back.
The camera setup however doesn’t seem to have been upgraded to a noticeable degree and the phone maintains the same 13 MP camera accompanied by the dual-LED flash layout on the Nexus 6’s back. As far as the memory is concerned, customers will have to choose between 32 or 64GB of internal memory. The pre orders are beginning on October 29th and from what we know through an error in AT&T’s system, the phone with a two year contract could cost as little as $49.99.
