Dunham is facing allegations of molesting her little sister. However, she slammed all such allegations.
Actress Lena Dunham has slammed all allegations against her that she molested her younger sister when she was a child. Actually Lena recently released her new autobiography ‘Not That Kind of Girl’ in which she wrote about an incident that happened when she was seven years old. She stated that she was curious to know whether her 1-year-old sister Grace “had the same genitals as she did.”
She writes that Grace was sitting up and smiling and I leaned down between her legs. I spread open her vagina and she did not resist and when I saw what was inside I was shocked. She shouted out to her mother and she came running in the room. She told her mother that something was inside.
Then she writes that my mother did not ask me why I had opened my sister’s vagina, she just sat there and looked. It quickly became apparent that she had put six or seven pebbles inside. My mother removed them carefully while Grace laughed that her prank had been successful.
“Grace was sitting up, babbling and smiling, and I leaned down between her legs and carefully spread open her vagina. She didn’t resist and when I saw what was inside I shrieked. My mother came running. ‘Mama, Mama! Grace has something in there!’ wrote Dunham.
“My mother didn’t bother asking why I had opened Grace’s vagina. This was within the spectrum of things I did. She just on her knees and looked for herself. It quickly became apparent that Grace had stuffed six or seven pebbles in there. My mother removed them patiently while Grace cackled, thrilled that her prank had been a success.”
Dunham also wrote in her book that she used to bribe her little sister, she would give her one dollar if she could do her sister makeup like a ‘motorcycle chick’. She would give her three pieces of candy if she could kiss her on the lips for five seconds. She writes that what she actually wanted to feel was that her little sister could not live without her elder sister showing her through the world.
“As [Grace] grew, I took to bribing her for her time and affection: one dollar in quarters if I could do her makeup like a ‘motorcycle chick.’ Three pieces of candy if I could kiss her on the lips for five seconds. Whatever she wanted to watch on TV if she would just ‘relax on me’,” Dunham also wrote.
“Basically, anything a sexual predator might to do woo a small suburban girl I was trying. Maybe, I thought, she would be more willing to accept kisses if I wore the face mask my grandmother had for when she did her dialysis. (The answer was no.) What I really wanted, beyond affection, was to feel that she needed me, that she was helpless without her big sister leading her through the world.”
However, critics took notice of these lines. An article titled ‘Lena Dunham Describes Sexually Abusing Her Little sister’ has been published on Truth Revolt in which the critic accused Dunham of molesting her younger sister.

Since then Dunham has hit back at the allegations by tweeting and wrote “The right wing news story that I molested my little sister isn’t just LOL (laugh out loud) – it’s really f—ing upsetting and disgusting. And by the way, if you were a little kid and never looked at another little kid’s vagina, well, congrats to you.”

She continued and tweeted that no one should twist her words and should get a life. She explained that she told a story about being a seven year old and she believes that everyone has such stories, even the critics. She also wrote that she is quite angry and sometimes when she is mad she burns anything.

Since then The Girls star has cancelled two scheduled book tour dates in Europe. Dunham was scheduled to appear at the Antwerp Book Fair in Belgium on Sunday, but she missed it and gave an explanation by tweeting from her account. She also cancelled Monday’s tour to Berlin where she had to appear at the Deutsches Theater.
