Dumb and Dumber To bagged $38.1 Million on its first weekend
Dumb and Dumber To has taken the top spot on Box Office after earning a total of $38.1 Million this week. Jim Carrey has certainly made a great appearance in this movie making it come to the top. The famous comedian was unable to give any hits in the previous years.
However, in “Dumb and Dumber To” he has proven that he is still on top in terms of comedy. He acted really well and his dialogues are hilarious that can make you hooked to this movie till end.
This movie is a great one but Dumb and Dumber To certainly have to fight a lot against the already running movie “Big Hero 6” which is a hit. Along with that “Interstellar” is also currently shown in cinemas over the country. It managed to do a great business too. Its screening was also done in IMAX which made it more sensational.
Dumb and Dumber To made a promising start just after its release. Its sales went up by 10% in the first two days. The script and the dialogues have made it a great choice for people of all ages.
It was thought that this movie would be a conventional sequel to the first instalment. However the movie showed that this movie is nothing like the old one. It is refreshing and has a totally new dimension towards comedy. This has made it a great movie to watch. The acting of both the lead actors is really funny.
This movie has earned $36.5 million on first week while the first part of this movie earned $16.3 million. The comparison between the two parts however shows that this difference in earning is not much big. As price of tickets was lower back in past so the earning difference is not that significant.
Although it is only the first week for this movie this means that there are loads of chances for it to earn more in coming weekends. It is also said that Warner Bros took so long to make the sequel. When its first part was released many fans were looking forward to the next part.
Now the second one has released but the older fans might not be waiting for it. This movie is rated PG-13 which makes it more interesting. It means that this movie can be watched with children and parents would not have to find a baby sitter for their kids to go to movie.
Critics said that this movie is going to earn well in this week but it looks like there would be a decline in the earnings after first two weeks of screening. This movie is currently screened on 1,789 screens worldwide which might let it have a good business.
Critics also say that there was no proper comedy that was released in the recent years. So Dumb and Dumber To might prove to be a great one in the line.
