CBS president to give keynote address in Vegas
Leslie Moonves, the long time CEO and president of the CBS Corporation, is set to be present at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show 2015 in Las Vegas from January 6th until January 9th in Las Vegas. The Consumer Electronics Association has announced that Moonves will give the keynote address for the ‘Brand Matters’ part of the international convention. Moonves will give a keynote speech and he will also be around for a question and answer session afterwards.
Moonves will be at the Westgate Theatre on January 7th at 3pm local time. Early word is that the speech to be given by the CBS chief is one that will focus on how consumer electronics is able to play a huge part in how news and programming is produced and distributed to the world. Moonves is the leader of CBS and it is he who oversees the everyday production and effective running of CBS and their affiliates. Since Leslie Moonves has taken over the helm at CBS, the corporation has seen a steady increase in revenue and is also one of the first companies to embrace consumer electronics and its technology. CBS has been able to procure deals with major online sites such as Amazon and even Netflix. Moonves is expected to touch on how consumer electronics and their technologies have been a catalyst to bringing faster and quicker access to news and other programming to the consumer public.
Michael Kassan, the chief executive officer of the company Media Link, will be the person who will conduct the interview session with Moonves. Media Link is a consulting firm that works with major media outlets in better blending their entertainment, marketing, and news and giving consumers a bigger and better product to enjoy. Kassan has been able to diversify the products and services that Media Link has been able to offer since he has taken over the company.
