The company will accept the digital currency For Windows, Windows Phone And Xbox Purchases
If you were one of those who had been questioning the future of Bitcoin in the real world then wait to be surprised (or rather embarrassed), because you are going to be proven wrong. The future of this alternate to cash money or cards was quite evident to some who believed in the willingness of companies to adopt advancements in technologies and for some it might have been slightly uncertain. From what we have recently seen and heard, Microsoft is going through a transformative phrase and part of this phase is that it has hopped on to the Bitcoin bandwagon.
Bitcoins will be accepted by the company for the purchase of games as well as other content on Windows, Windows Phone and Xbox platforms as confirmed by those at Coindesk. It was also noticed by the members of the Reddit’s bitcoin subred that Microsoft was processing payments made through bitcoins and was working with the payments firm Bitpay in order to make this happen. However, neither has so far made any official announcements about this latest development.
So far no official news has been revealed regarding this however Bitpay does seem to have included some series of instructions related to bitcoin payments within its ‘billing help’ pages. All we can be sure of at this time is that direct payments through this cryptocurrency are not yet supported and customers can only use bitcoin to load money onto their Microsoft wallets or create digital gift cards with it.
