In addition to the arguably faster connectivity, the beefier Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A further throws better specs into the mix, rocking a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood.
Samsung has finally taken the wraps off the Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A which is the more powerful version of the Galaxy Note 4, extending support for LTE Advanced Tri-Band Carrier Aggregation and Cat. 9 cellular networks. The company promises that this new variant of the Galaxy Note 4 is going to generate faster download speeds over 4G LTE as compared to the original phone.
Talking about the new phone in its blog post, the company revealed the following;
“Samsung Electronics announced the world’s first commercially available LTE Advanced (LTE-A) Tri-Band Carrier Aggregation (CA) smartphone. The LTE-A Tri-Band CA enabled Galaxy Note 4 will provide a download peak speed of 300Mbps, four times faster than the speed of today’s 4G LTE service. This will deliver an unparalleled multimedia experience by enabling faster downloads and web browsing, as well as powering faster content streaming and better access to data intensive applications.”
JK Shin, Samsung Electronics CEO and President of IT & Mobile Communications Division, says “The LTE-A Tri-Band CA smartphone is a meaningful advancement in mobile and telecommunications technologies, and demonstrates Samsung’s long-term commitment to providing innovation within the telecommunications industry. We continue to set new challenges for the industry and push boundaries to take mobile technology to the next level and deliver the best possible consumer experience.”
He continued saying, “As mobile and telecommunications technologies continue to evolve, the LTE-A Tri-Band CA Galaxy Note 4 will be LTE-A Category 9 service ready, with speeds of up to 450 Mbps download expected to be commercialized later 2015.”
The Galaxy Note 4 LTE is not only a beefier version of the original phone, offering faster connectivity, but it also adds enhanced specs into the deal out of which the most amazing upgrade is the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood. The rest of the major specs are similar to the original Note 4 including the 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a whopping QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a 16 MP camera.
Korea is going to be lucky to receive the phone first but 2015 is going to bring wider availability of the phablet.
