FitLinxx AmpStrip, which is basically a sticker worn on chest, has proved to be one famous fitness wearable debuted at the International CES 2015.
The FitLinxx AmpStrip is a thin, waterproof device that basically tracks heart rate and activity around the clock and with absolute accuracy. Plus you will be shocked to hear that all this comes within a device as comfortable as a Band-Aid.
This means that it can be worn all day easily. The device simply sticks to your torso and automatically tracks heart rate, exercise load, activity and posture and skin temperature. Moreover the device also provides users with very important fitness insights like resting heart rate.
For many years now medical science has been working hard on a way to build health sensors into stickers for monitoring patients better. Now it seems that people working at the AmpStrip have reached this milestone before any of them.
The small Band-Aid sized gadget has been equipped with an accelerometer, a heart rate sensor and a thermometer. These all combined make it possible to monitor one’s heart rate, activity and movement.
The AmpStrip also measures the load one is taking on their body and then gives them insight whether they should stop or go ahead with it. Plus this device is waterproof which means that one can even wear it while they swim.
Also the device has a reliable communication system as it uses the industry’s standard Bluetooth LE which then ensures reliable and clear communication with smartphones and tablets.
Moreover the gadget is self-contained users will need to put the device into a wireless charging plate for a couple of hours. Now the company declares that a little bit of charging will keep the device running for a full seven days due to the combination of Bluetooth Low Energy and some secret algorithmic sauce.
Moreover the device right now is in beta but the company states that production of this new fitness tracking device will begin in March with a public launch in July. This too is possible because AmpStrip’s IndieGoGo campaign is about to hit its goal.
This means that this device also has a crowd funding element to itself. Plus it is said that the final design of the device will be smaller than the functional prototype that has been displayed to the public at the International CES 2015.
This device is the first consumer facing product for FitLinxx. FitLinxx is a renowned health technology company that has been working through partners since 1993. Plus the AmpStrip is an Honoree in the prestigious CES 2015 Innovation Awards for the wearables category.
