The fitness icon and inspiration, Greg Plitt died in a freak accident in Burbank when he got crushed under the Metrolink train.

Burbank P.D. reported a train accident last night where a man was struck by Metrolink train. Little did they know that the person that had died and they identified later on was Bravo star Greg Plitt.

The train that hit him was Metrolink reported that he was hit by train 268 on the Antelope Valley Line. The train was southbound. Greg was a former Marine turned fitness expert/model/actor and motivational speaker.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the cause of Plitt’s death was the accident and no foul play is expected.

The world of fitness has however suffered a terrible loss. Rob Riches posted a long memoir on his Instagram along with a picture of him and Greg at an earlier interview. He remembered that most people called him the “Fitness Model” and his death was tragic.

Last night I learned the terrible news that Fitness legend Greg Plitt was no longer with us after losing his life in what seems to be a tragic and freak accident. While I do not want to go into to details about what /4/have happened, I do want to celebrate Greg and everything he has done for the fitness industry and beyond. Often referred to as ‘The Top Fitness Model’ (including by myself), Greg was more than just a model (and an actor), and while he was often known for his onscreen personality, few knew of his personality and character away from this. I had been fortunate to have met Greg soon after I came to Cali almost 8 years ago, and since then had been to his home, met his parents, and been introduced to his friends and family away from the fitness life. The world has not just lost a fitness icon, it has lost a true legend, a man who put his heart and sole into doing what he loves – in everything he does. My thoughts goes out to his family and loved ones at this terrible and tragic time. I urge you all to comment below on the reasons why you followed Greg, what he inspired in you, any times that you had met him, and quotes and one-liners that motivated and kept you going. He reminded everyone that Greg was not only an inspiration to people but also a great person who believed in all he did and the motivation he did it with. Rob also asked people to post one-liners on the post remembering Greg in their own way.

Greg Plitt was cast lately on Bravo Teens show, Friends of Lovers. Bravo Teens also posted their condolences on Twitter. They offered their condolences to Greg’s family and friends at their time of loss.

Andy Cohen remembered Plitt from his “Work Out” show days and went to say that he was like Superman.

Great words to remember him by, Andy’s post was followed by comments from all the fitness fans of Plitt who expressed their dis/4/and grief on the loss of their role model and inspiration for fitness.

We offer our condolences to Plitt family and their close ones on the loss of Greg and remember that they are not alone ion remembering him. There is a whole world of fans and followers that Greg Plitt inspired and his legacy is alive with every person that he helped keep fit.
