  • Björk releases new album Vulnicura two months prior to its announced release.

Björk released her new album on iTunes with official updates on social media following an album leak.

Recently, many of the singers have fallen victim to online leaks of their latest albums. Even Madonna recently faced a major deficit in her album release when she had to force release her album on iTunes. At times like these, stars like Beyonce and Taylor Swift have managed to stay ahead of the digital world deficit. The latest victim of this cyber cruelty has been the Iceland based musician Björk.

This album will be her official album since the release of her last album “Biophilia”. She had a lot of emotions invested in the album. She has chronicled a break up in this new album, post and prior.

She explained that she was afraid to be self indulgent but when she thought about the process she had went through of being hurt and recovering. She has made her music with the emotions that she has felt herself, psychologically and physically.

Björk has had help from the British musician the Haxan Cloak and Venezuelan producer Arca. While she produced or co-produced the songs also providing the string arrangements for most of the songs.

Björk might have had a lot of feelings attached to this album but she has indeed fallen to the cyber crime world. Her album was leaked online and   Björk had to release the album on iTunes. Björk has not panicked though in the face of extraneous circumstances. She has used the online sources to promote the album as much as she could.

She posted a hand written note to her fans on her Twitter last week, the note actually announced the release of her album in March but one could understand the reasons that forced her hand in the release of the album two months prior.

The note announced the name of her new album “Vulnicura” followed by the names of the tracks on the album and the official month of release. The tracks names are; Stonemilker, Lionsong, History of Touches, Black Lake, Family, Not Get, Atom Dance” (ft. Antony Hegarty), Mouth Mantra and Quicksand.

Today, she posts the picture of her album on her Facebook account in which she is supporting a new eccentric look with a colorful head wear featuring feather and latex outfit.

For an artistic mind, she looks beautiful and fans are already gushing over her newest picture which also accompanies her new album as the cover on iTunes. Vulnicura is available for music lovers on iTunes.
