The Cat food brand will air a Super Bowl 2015 ad and it released a 1 minute teaser video today. Watch the Dear Kitten Super Bowl Ad below.
Let’s make it clear from the beginning. The Purina Friskies Super Bowl 2015 Ad is not a real Super Bowl ad as it is only airing in cat-themed cities like Kitty Hawk, Los Gatos and Pawnee according to the Huffington Post. This is as cheap of a trick as The Verge Super Bowl 2015 Ad we reported yesterday about. The cost of airing a local ad in a couple of small markets during the Super Bowl is marginal. The Verge paid $700 for the town Helena in Montana.
At least Purina is not saying its a Super Bowl ad and only says the commercial is a Big Game ad. But of course we the media automatically make it a Super Bowl ad because else nobody reads this report I am typing up here.
Why did I decide to pick up this cheap Super Bowl Ad tie-in? Because this special Super Bowl Dear Kitten commercial is really funny. The Dear Kitten campaign has been funny already. To watch the cat explain the behavior of humans during a Super Bowl party to a Kitten is hilarious. Watch the “Friskies Super Bowl Ad” below. Why Purina calls this 1 minute commercial a teaser is beyond me unless they air something completely different during the Super Bowl in those local markets.
