Bidding has already exceeded $11,500 for the first 20th Anniversary PS4 ever made.
Many a times special editions come forth for the gaming consoles and we know just how crazy everyone gets, trying their best to get their hands on it somehow and later feel so superior owning it. A few months later, another special edition gets announced and the previous one is already old story. However, there are still some very special and valuable models which still exist somewhere in this world, with someone and one of them has just surfaced and gotten our attention. News has it that what might be the rarest PS4 on the planet, is being auctioned online in Japan.
The event of the auction is for the 20th PS4 which was the ‘extremely’ limited edition and only 12, 300 units had been made for the entire world. But this one still stands out from the rest of the 12,299 units because this was the first one to be produced. The bids for the console will go through Yahoo auctions and the proceeds will be dedicated to Save the Children Japan and as Kotaku reveals, Sony has announced that it will match the amount raised.
The bidding started today (Friday) and is expected to last through till January 25th. At the moment, the current bid is standing at ¥1.4 million yen ($11,850) but this is expected to grow because today was just the first day.
