  • This is the first Ford Recall of 2015.

Ford decided to recall as much as 220,000 cars. They were really smart and they decided to take precautionary measures by recalling their cars. It is also reported that no one was injured and had an accident that forced Ford to recall their cars.

Ford decided that it was best that they recalled their cars. This is when they decided to issue two safety recalls. Ford decided to recall its models from the year 2010-2013. Some of the models that were sold in these years include the Ford Police Interceptor, Lincoln MKS and Ford Taurus.

All of them have been recalled so that the interior door handle issue can be resolved. A lot of people did complain about the door when they first bought the car. Now Ford has decided that it is best to not upset the customers and this is why they decided to recall cars in massive numbers.

The main issue can be found in the spring of the interior door handle. Representatives from Ford believe that no one was injured because of the spring control issue. Most of these cars were assembled in 2009 and 2011 and almost all of them came from the Chicago Assembly Plant.

Ford told its customers that the cars that are being recalled will be fixed free of charge. They said that they will look at the four door handles and will see if there are any major problems. If any problems are found, they will either repair the damaged portion or they will completely replace it.

The other safety recall was made for the Ford Transit Connect vehicles. Almost 16000 Transit Connect vehicles are being recalled because there is a problem in the safety belt. Ford believes that the safety belt fasteners haven’t been tightened correctly.

They also said that the belt fasteners that haven’t been met with the installation torque specification, might become loose with time. Ford also believes that no one was injured or had an accident due to the seat belt fastener problem in the Ford Transit Connect vehicles.

The Ford Transit Connect vehicles were manufactured in 2013 and they were all assembled at the Valencia Assembly Plant. All of these vehicles are present in the United States. Ford will fix the issue for their customers free of charge. They say that they will either repair or replace the faulty seat belt fasteners.
