Henry Cavill splits from Short Term Girlfriend

Superman is Single again.

Its official! Henry Cavill, who plays Superman in the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice has broken up with short term girlfriend Marisa Gonzalo, according to E! News. Rumors abound that they went their separate way after returning from their yacht vacation in December 2014. 

Henry Cavill started dating Gonzalo in September 2014 after his break with Gina Carano, who he dated from September 2012, with a small split in the summer of 2013, until getting back with her again in October 2013. Many have said that this was a rebound for Henry Cavill after breaking up with Gina. Unfortunately, this rebound has cost Henry Cavill the loyalty of many of his fans. 

Apparently, Henry Cavill began dating her, simply because she had insinuated herself into his life and took advantage of him during a weak point in his career. When Henry Cavill was heartbroken and needed comfort she was there.

When they began dating intimate pictures also began leaking of Henry Cavill, with the frequency increasing during the yacht vacation he took. Who could be leaking the pictures of such an intimate vacation with two close friends and Marisa? Many say it was Marisa and the break up was inevitable, yet not soon enough. 

The backlash was immediate, Henry Cavill’s fans were not happy with his choice of girlfriends, even though this was a rebound. Marisa is known for animal-killing, posting her victims on her media pages and has no shame or remorse for what she does. Henry Cavill’s fans had a hard time understanding how he could date someone with such a nature when he himself claimed to be an animal rights activist.

Henry Cavill will have to work hard to get his adoring fans to return, as many feel that the split is a little too late. Can his fans forgive him? That is yet to be seen.
